My name is Lauren and I run Cosy Cats & Critters part-time.

With over 6 years experience in pet sitting and 2 years experience as a veterinary receptionist, I have a keen eye for animal behaviour and what to look out for in terms of illness and injury. I am dedicated to ensuring that your furry family members are safe, comfortable, and happy during your time away. 

As a pet owner, over the years I always struggled to find someone to stay with my cats/reptiles when I wanted to go on holiday with my partner. As my cats have medical issues and one is extremely anxious, they are not able to cope with drop in visits alone and need someone to stay with them overnight.

When I heard friends, colleagues and neighbours having the same issue, I naturally started volunteering to look after their pets. I always had such positive feedback and was often called "the cat whisperer" as stressed/anxious pets always warmed to me very quickly.

After years of contemplating whether I could make a living out of keeping pets safe & happy, in 2023 I took the plunge and finally set up my small business! 

It has been a great journey so far with many ups and downs, I have honed my onboarding process, gained amazing clients and set healthy boundaries for myself. I was also voted 'Neighbourhood Fave' on Nextdoor.co.uk for 'Best Pet Services' which was a wonderful surprise!

I am so glad I took this leap and I can't wait to meet more wonderful pets in 2024!
